Sleeping Cat

“Sleeping Cat” is an original photo by Jesse Buckwalter, an award-winning photographer who lives in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. The image depicts a sweet gray-and-black adult cat asleep in a wicker chair, warm in the sun. Jesse is a natural with all animals. He seems to speak their language. This cat didn’t hear him, though. It slept through the noise of many visitors to the original DuPont estate at Longwood Gardens in Pennsylvania. The image is typical of the scenes that capture Jesse’s eye as he makes images on the coast of Maine, the farmland around central Pennsylvania, and close-ups of animals and flowers in many other locales.
