“Contemplating Heritage” is an original oil-on-canvas painting by Jonathan Whitlock, an artist who makes his home in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. The work was inspired by Jonathan’s friend, Leslie, who is Native American. He decided to set her in a museum, looking at a wall of pottery and vases. “She’s contemplating her heritage, her cultural past, and reflecting,” he says. “Contemplating Heritage” features a blue, tan and brown color palette and is one-of-a-kind, with no prints or duplicates. It measures 18 inches by 24 inches and comes in a frame.
